Looking for exceptional engineers to join our small family. As a hands-on Architect, you will take the SaaS platform powering our Mobile Application Management solutions to the next level!
Responsibilities:
- Develop and apply advanced state-of-the-art engineering theories, methods, and research techniques in the solution of complex problems affecting our SaaS platform
- Partner with upper management and high level engineers in early stages of multiple project definitions and roadmap
- Prepare formal presentations/reviews in areas of specialization to management and customers
- Coordinate technical design activities across the team to deliver highly-available, highly-scalable, and secure applications in the cloud
- Work on issues that impact design success to address future concepts, products, and technologies
- Identify technical opportunities and recommend programs to management in such areas as product development, cost reduction, reliability, and performance improvements
- Lead continuous quality improvement in meeting internal and external customer requirements
- Interact with cross-functional groups including product management, customer support, and sales to develop new functionality and support existing customers
Qualifications:
- B.S. or M.S. Computer Science or related field
- 10+ years of designing, developing, architecting and implementing large-scale applications in SaaS environments
- Demonstrated ability to create and present a technical roadmap
- Expertise balancing strategic and tactical requirements
- Passion for developing state-of-the-art technology and the ability to channel that desire into a collaborative team effort
- Demonstrated technical leadership that materially advances the technology of the company
- Expert in Java programming language
- Can solve multi-threaded, asynchronous, and distributed systems problems
- Understands issues around fault tolerance and scale-out
- Experience with a high-volume, highly-available, distributed application in a hosted environment
- Experience with Spring and/or Hibernate in a production environment
- Experience with relational databases, data modeling, ORM framework, and SQL/JDBC
- Experience with Web Technologies (Apache, AJAX, HTML, JavaScript, HTTP, SOAP, XML)
- Experience with AWS is a plus
- Experience with security and encryption technologies is a plus
- Strong familiarity with Groovy and Grails development is a plus
