We are currently looking for a Technical Lead -- KillerIT to join our KillerIT department in Centennial, CO.


We require a J2EE Technical Lead/Architect with expertise in Web Architecture (covering Hibernate, Spring, Restful WebServices, JMS and LDAP) as part of Forsythe Solutions Group. The position involves providing Technical Leadership and understanding architectural models. This individual should be a resource with hands-on experience who can be lead the Product Development activities. He/she should be able to understand models and specifications, and be able to validate the architecture against requirements and assumption. He/she will be involved in providing oversight over ongoing Development as a reviewer and auditor and will also be involved in hand-holding/guiding/mentoring Professional Services Team(s) during their implementation projects.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Technical -- Design/Development

o Lead implementation of new features and extension for the current Product, which includes development, testing and deployment of the updated features into production. Work with Business Owner to document the understanding and seeking for necessary approvals.

o Translate functional specifications into quality products, which includes Business Requirements Documents, Architecture, Design, Testing Strategy, Test Cases, User Manuals, Deployment guides etc.

· Technical -- Define Standards, Review

o Enhancing coding standards and development guidelines and ensure that are being followed

o Review:

§ Act as technical guide and mentor to other team members.

§ Conduct/Participate in architecture, design & code reviews.

§ Create, maintain and review technical documentation. Review internal deliverables and deliverables received from vendor who might be delivering a set of modules/features.

§ Conduct/Participate in technical reviews and suggest alternatives

o Work closely with clients and project managers and team to clearly define scope of work and provide accurate schedule estimates.

Minimum and/or Preferred Qualifications:

EDUCATION:

· Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Engineering required; Master's Degree preferred

EXPERIENCE:

· Overall 6-8 Years of experience in IT industry with 3-4 Years of experience in Service industry

o 5+ years Java software development experience.

o 3+ years of enterprise Java development, with emphasis on web-based applications.

o Strong relational database and SQL skills (3+ years)

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:

· Java/J2EE certification

SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

· Technical Skills

o Java, J2EE, MVC Frameworks (JSF/Spring), Spring, AOP, WebFlow, ORM Tools(Hibernate/Ibatis/JDO/Tapestry), App servers, Databases, JAAS, Spring Security

o Ajax, JSON, JQuery and Javascript

o Databases: Oracle, SQLServer

o AppServer: Tomcat, WebLogic/Websphere

o Implementation experience of LDAP

o Understanding of SAAS models involving multi-tenant and their impact on implementation

o Understanding of Web Performance and their tuning

· Methodologies

o Technical Architecture (Create/Document Architecture and make Team understand that),

o Package Principles, Design Patterns and Metrics, Best Practices, Estimations

o Knowledge Management/COE, R&D, POC, UML

o Agile, Scrum

Business

System Decomposition, Scope Definition

Some level of Domain expertise in Financial or Healthcare would be desirable

Quick grasp of technology and ability to see the big picture. Strong problem solving skills and capable of delving into details when required. Must be creative; be able to develop new simple approaches to complex design problems.

Experience in working providing Pre Sales support for Service Companies

Understand the sales cycle

Must be able to do market and competitive research to support the sales process.

Articulate, communicating effectively in written reports and presentations

Must be an experienced, motivated, self-starter - Technical, Business and Solution focused

Must work well with team members, acting as a mentor to other engineers, helping in motivating and solving problems.
