HUIT is seeking a Web Application Developer to work in an innovative development team of 5 Software Developers that collaboratively develops and maintains database-driven, web-based applications and associated intrastructure in support of the FAS Administrative departments. The applications span a variety of fields including human resources, financials, academic administration, and research administration. Need to have strong use of web and database technologies and frameworks are utilized by the team. The primary platform is Java, Struts, Oracle PL/SQL, and Javascript.

Need to conceptualize, design, code, test, debug and document programs for complex and multi-faced web-based applications for FAS administrative departments.

Contribute to data model design and implementation.

Identify and resolve software issues.

Adhere to application development design, coding, deployment, and documentation standards and best policies.
Basic Qualifications Must Have The Following:

- BS or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Computer Information Systems or similar technical discipline.
- 3-5 Years experience as a Java Web Application Developer
- Experience with web application development tools, relational database technology, application server technologies and OOP
- Must have a strong background working with: Java, Javascript, SQL, HTML, Tomcat/BEA/Weblogic, and RDBMS (preferrably Oracle).
- Strong technical and analytical experience
- Strong aptitude and desire to learn new technology
Additional Qualifications

- Struts, Spring, Seam, JSF, AJAX, Perl, PL/SQL, XML and Query tools (i.e. Brio).
- Extensive experience in application development
- QA experience
- Ability to Multi-task
Additional Information Contract Assignment: 4-5 Months
