Phoenix Media Communication Group is looking for a Systems Administrator who will be excited by the prospect of learning the business and supporting the technology to meet business challenges.

You need to be highly professional, technically competent and a self-starter. You must be flexible and willing to work in the technology that the solution demands. In addition to the core technologies listed below, you will be expected to support any new initiatives that may be in the future.

The position reports to the directly to the Director of Information Technology and the successful candidate will be expected to regularly contribute to business success by recommending and implementing innovative technical solutions, as well as maintaining the infrastructure in a highly professional and organized fashion.

The role will encompass all levels of tech support for the organization. A typical day will include resolving user desktop issues, troubleshooting server problems, and planning future improvements with the goal of developing the skills required to take on additional responsibility.

Responsibilities for the position include, but are not limited to:

* Maintain and manage the in-house networks and servers
* Backup and disaster recovery
* Data security and compliance
* Provide network and desktop hardware and software support for staff
* Monitor hardware and software updates and bug fixes
* Provide set-up services for all new employees
* Assist in setup and troubleshooting of web sites and applications
* Remote office travel as needed in new England area

Skills & Qualifications Desired

•5+ years experience with Windows Server including Active Directory 2003, Exchange Server 2003/OWA, Activesync and Postini
•Desktop OS is XP/Win7 and Mac with necessary hardware support experience required
•MS Office , Adobe Suite, custom apps with 3rd party support, AVG, Whatsup Gold
WAN networking, Basic Cisco, MPLS, PPTP VPN, SQL Server, VMWare experience
•Web Servers, ISSCI, SAN, VOIP, FTP, Dell KACE Appliance
•Excellent communication and teamwork skills
•General understanding of IT security concepts and controls
•Demonstrated ability and desire to produce clear, concise documentation
•Must be a self starter with ability to learn quickly and solve problems independently
•Cloud Experience would be great. Microsoft Exchange, Azure
