Job Summary:
Position will troubleshoot desktop hardware and software including network issues. Installation and maintenance of desktop equipment including peripherals and networking. Assist in network infrastructure troubles and installations. Support applications in remote locations from the user interface.
Duties and Responsibilities:
a. Install and troubleshoot networked and standalone PCs and printers.
b. Install and troubleshoot all desktop installed software.
c. Follow procedures for software and hardware inventory and license tracking.
d. Analyze desktop hardware and software for efficiencies and needs.
e. Continued analysis of desktop standards for current appropriateness.
f. Staff the Help Desk phone line to support users over the phone as well as enter tickets for escalation to the appropriate departments.
g. Analysis of the implementation of new software to the current processes.
h. Assist Network Administrators in network outages, installations, and upgrades in remote locations.
g. Must document all new processes, procedures and standardizations.
h. Assist users in applications issues and questions in remote locations.
i. Responsible for following, supporting, and enforcing all internal control processes and procedures.
Qualification Requirements:
a. Education: High school or equivalent.
b. Experience Level: Three years desktop/pc technician experience. Basic network desktop installations to include printers, Windows OS, and other software. Two years basic network cabling and infrastructure design or installation.
c. Skills Summary: Basic TCP/IP routing, domain authentication, user profiles and policies, basic desktop and network troubleshooting
Knowledge of:
a. Skills: Corporate network environments, technical documentation, data backup and recovery, and security standards
