Cloud Services Storage Engineer Job Posting

Job Overview:

Concur is looking for a Storage Engineer with experience architecting and deploying open-source storage systems to assist in maturing our SaaS offerings. The ideal candidate would be a professional with a deep passion for open-source storage infrastructure, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and the ability to work with a diverse and growing team of engineers.

Responsibilities:

• Planning and monitoring of the storage network and its components


• Develop\Maintain scripts to automate storage administration tasks


• Provide constructive feedback on storage architecture and procedures


• Act as a project resource for storage related projects


• Take an active and insightful role in group discussions


• Performance analysis, log monitoring and hardware performance monitoring


• Be aware of, and comply with, all corporate policies

Education, Experience & Training required:

• BS in Computer Science or Engineering, or equivalent work experience with open source environments (BSD, Linux, Unix)


• 7-10 years in a technically related field


• Ability to pass a background check

Job Specific Specialized Knowledge & Skills:

• Extensive experience with shell scripting


• Experience with open-source software based storage (e.g. OpenStack Swift, Gluster, Eucalyptus)


• Experience with at least one high level programming language (Python preferred)


• Experience using orchestration & configuration tools (e.g. Chef, Crowbar, JuJu, Puppet)
