Job Overview


As a Software Design Engineer/Test II, you will be focused on developing solutions to test and monitor the performance of Concur’s integrated travel and expense management solutions. An SDE/T II is a software design engineer test professional who understands testing fundamentals and can drive projects within the test automation framework. An SDE/T II understands how to leverage a test automation system framework of components while considering testability, systems environment dependencies and ease of use for the overarching goal of test validation. As an SDE/T II, you will be responsible for utilizing test technologies to automate performance measurement for Concur products and services. You will be responsible for performance data collection, analysis, and delivery of actionable information. This role is ideal for individuals with strong programming skills/aptitude who would like to grow in the area of application testing and performance management.

Responsibilities



  • Partner with functional teams to understand application processes and implement function based performance benchmark

  • Prepare and maintain test/development environments for performance testing

  • Design and develop database models and ETL for collection and analysis of performance data

  • Analyze performance data, identify issues, and perform root cause analysis

  • Develop reports and dashboards for presenting performance results to all levels of the organization

  • Evaluate and recommend tools and processes for performance benchmarking, load testing, and capacity testing

  • Understand the test automation framework and processes

  • Build on knowledge of various areas of application performance testing such as benchmarking, load testing, and capacity testing

  • Build on knowledge of Concur applications, including implementation, deployment, and client use

  • Be aware of, and comply with, all corporate policies



Job Specific Specialized Knowledge & Skills:



  • 3-5 years of experience as an SDE/T or Software Design Engineer

  • BS in Computer Science or equivalent technical degree required

  • Knowledge of automated test development and object oriented programming is desired

  • Knowledge of Selenium, J-Unit test utilities

  • Good knowledge of one or more of the following languages: Java, VB, C, C++, C#, XML

  • Good knowledge of one or more scripting languages (i.e. PERL)

  • Knowledge of J2EE, Weblogic, JRocket, ASP.Net

  • Experience with unit test case development

  • Understanding of SSL, HTML, JavaScript and browser technologies

  • Understanding of the implications between different OS and Web configuration

  • Experience with databases, SQL, and stored procedures

  • Demonstrated experience contributing to the release of quality software products

  • Team player with strong testing, defect finding, troubleshooting, and problem solving skills

  • Ability to pass a background check
