Title: QA Automation Engineer

Reports to: Director, QA

Location: New York, NY


As a QA Automation Engineer, you will work as a part of the Quality Assurance team and be responsible for planning, developing, executing, maintaining and improvising Automated Functional Test Frameworks and Automated Test Scripts for Web and Database applications.

Responsibilities:

• Create and maintain libraries and object repositories for the Automation Framework.
• Work closely with manual test engineers for automating existing test cases.
• Work closely with development team to gather and understand requirements.
• Comprehensive understanding of QA methodologies and SDLC.
• Develop Test Plans and Test Scenarios, also for manual testing, while maintaining high QA standards.
• Write effective and thorough bug reports and verify bug fixes.

Requirements:

• College degree preferred or equivalent level of experience
• 2+ years of Black Box/Gray Box software testing experience
• Experience in Automated AND manual testing (any automated tool experience is acceptable, Selenium is preferred)
• Must be able to write your own test cases
• Must be able to write basic SQL Queries
• Must be able to prepare test data on your own
• Thorough knowledge of SDLC and RDBMS
• Scripting experience
• Experience with Jira
• Experience with Consumer Web Applications
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
