Description

OpenGeo is seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Engineer to perform a variety of quality assurance tasks for our enterprise software solution.

Responsibilities will include some or all of the following:

Work with developers and project leads to build test plans and execute them
Install and configure software products for testing on various platforms
Effectively summarize and communicate results of testing to management and team members
Develop and maintain automated test suites

Qualifications:

-Bachelors degree, preferably Computer Science, Information Technology, Mechanical Engineering or related field
-Strong written and spoken English communication skills
-Experience using Linux, Windows, and Mac operating systems
-3 or more years experience in software quality assurance, software development, software technical support, or related field
- Knowledge of software development or quality assurance methodologies and terminology
- Experience in automated testing, programming, or system administration and scripting required
- Flexible, adaptable, and willing to learn new technologies
- Familiarity with testing in virtual machines
- Familiarity with JMeter, Selenium and other testing tools

The ideal candidate is:

- Experienced in open source software
- Skilled in communicating with a globally distributed team comprising cross functional team members such as product managers, software engineers, and technical support engineers
