Northrop Grumman Information Systems sector is seeking a Senior Solution/Systems Architect 5 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Washington, D.C.



Where Technology and Teamwork come together... The qualified applicant will become part of Northrop Grumman's Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) program. We are looking for an experienced systems/solution architect to lead the design and development of mission-critical solutions. We provide cutting-edge technical solutions to support CFTC's critical and growing regulatory mission. We are looking for a dynamic and experienced solution architect to lead the design and implementation of an integrated solution set.



Roles and Responsibilities:
• Lead the design and development of systems architecture for new and existing complex systems

• Defines systems implementation approach and operational concept
• Coordinates efforts across multiple systems and projects to provide an integrated customer solution
• Supports proposal efforts and develops technical project plans
• Authors system design documents and development plans, proofs of concepts, status reports
• Mentors and guides more junior staff


Basic Qualifications:
To be considered for this position, you must minimally meet the knowledge, skills, and abilities listed below:
• Bachelors degree and 14 years of relevant experience
• 5 years of experience in one or more of current customer development environment: ASP.NET, C#, Team Foundation Server (TFS), SQL Server 2008
• At least 2 years experience as a senior architect on large systems
• Must be able to obtain Position of Public Trust clearance
• Equivalent experience will be accepted in lieu of a Bachelor's of Science in computer science or related technical field.

Preferred Qualifications:
Candidates with these desired skills will be given preferential consideration:
• Bachelor's of Science in computer science or related technical field
• Experience with SQL Server 2008 R2, SSRS, SSIS, Web Services, SOA Methodologies
• Experience with SharePoint 2010
• Must be able to obtain a Position of Public Trust Designation
• Excellent oral and written communication
