Join our rapidly- growing clean air technology company! We are seeking an experienced mechanical design engineer to develop new product designs and specifications from concept and prototype through manufacturing and launch. In this role, the successful candidate will also actively contribute to the development and manufacturing of our leading-edge diesel emission control systems.

Responsibilities:

Plan, organize, direct and conduct engineering processes to develop new product designs and specifications, effectively managing realistic rapid development time schedules.

Perform complex engineering assignments involving specification, design, prototyping, manufacturing and revisions.

Develop CAD models using Solidworks. Perform design analysis and make recommendations for enhancement. Optimize new product designs & specifications.

Collaborate with the R&D and Manufacturing teams to generate ideas and solutions to decrease time to market and enhance the new product development process.

Develop relationships with outside fabricator vendors. Solicit cost proposals and participate in the vendor selection process. Provide vendor oversight for the production of new product prototypes.

Source and select vendors for purchasing parts and new materials at a competitive cost.

Other responsibilities as required and as business objectives evolve.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering; Master's preferred.

5+ years of design engineering experience. Diesel engine emissions experience is a plus.

3+ years of industry experience using Solidworks 3D CAD platform. Strong MS Office skills.

Strong background in material selection and application.

Comfortable sourcing vendors for fabrication from prototype to production.

Familiar with design analysis tools such as Fluent and Ansys.

Familiar with Product Design Verification & Validation Processes.

Detail oriented self-starter and team-player with excellent oral and written communications, organizational, project management and multi-tasking skills.

Proven ability to deliver assignments as required under tight timelines and with minimal supervision.

Ability to work well in a fast-paced, small team environment with all levels of management and staff, to include remote offices.
