Meridian Technology Group seeks a senior Java Developer to build and support web-based e-Commerce applications. The applications are built on the Spring Framework, Hibernate, Spring Web Flow, and other current Java technologies. The candidate must be motivated by a collaborative agile environment and take ownership over the design and quality of the product.
Responsibilities:
Participate in all phases of the software development life cycle: requirements, design, development, test, deployment and support. Research, design, develop and troubleshoot complex web-based application systems. Provide expertise on the presentation and/or service layers. Ensure compliance with specifications and requirements, and the quality of code produced. Contribute to development of project schedules, provide work/time estimates, and be committed to meeting deadlines. Produce and maintain documentation to describe program development, logic, coding and corrections. Employee creative problem solving in a highly collaborative environment.
Qualifications:
More than 4 years experience developing three-tiered, scalable application server-based enterprise systems that function 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Experience with Spring and Hibernate. Experience developing rich graphical user interfaces for web-based applications with knowledge of JSP, Spring Web Flow and AJAX. Strong experience in full life cycle software development. Disciplined in configuration management and source control tasks.
Nice-to-have Skills:
Experience with FreeMarker, Jboss and/or Maven. Experience building and invoking Web Services, especially using SOAP.
