Primary Responsibilities:
•Responsible for the installation, configuration, troubleshooting, and administration of SAN hardware and software solutions, including SAN fabric management based on strategies, policies, and procedures developed by Lead Architect.?
•Support EMC Clarion and Symmetrix as well as Cisco switch hardware in multi-datacenter environment
•Responsible for creating, maintaining and updating operational documentation necessary to support the SAN environment
•Provide expert level troubleshooting for SAN solutions
•Lead design and code reviews, define standards and recommend and establish policies
•Function as a technical liaison with Windows, UNIX and DBA teams, and act as a lead resource in support of projects and operational activities
•Understand and manage storage solutions, configuring and tuning hardware and software to ensure optimum performance and resource
•Work with SAN architect to design SAN solutions for production, development and test systems
•Work with capacity planning team in building out capacity planning models
•Work with Product Management team to assist in providing future direction for storage platform and technologies
•Design, planning and implementation of projects in support of day to day production requirements as well as disaster recovery initiatives.?
•Participate in on-call rotation in support of dynamic production environment
•MS Office tools (Word, Excel, project, Powerpoint, Visio)
•Strong proficiency with 3rd party monitoring tools (Veritas I3, Work Load analyzer, Storage Scope etc...)
•Strong technical writing skills for producing process and procedural documents
•Demonstrated knowledge with switch based technology in a SAN environment
•Excellent ability to write and present reports and interact with vendors and senior management
•Expert Knowledge and understanding of EMC array configuration tools and software including Symm CLI, ECC and Work Load Analyzer.?
•Experience with VMware virtualization on SAN and Secure Remote Gateway

Qualifications:

•Minimum 5 years experience working in a production data center environment
•Minimum 4 plus years experience configuring, deploying, and maintaining multi-terabyte EMC arrays in SAN/NAS configurations.
•Minimum 3 years experience working with monitoring and reporting solutions in a storage environment
•3 years experience in evaluating storage systems performance and recommending performance enhancements
•3 years experience using replication technologies as it related to storage platforms (BCV, SNAP, Clone, SRDF)
•Candidate well versed in configuring Emulex Fibre HBAs.
•Candidate well Versed with Cisco switch management / fiber channel zoning
